Working In Visual Studio Code for the Very First Time!

In my quest to a small web application, I installed Visual Studio Code to see what the current rage is all about. Some have said that it is a better editor than Atom. With that said I wanted to take a look for myself to see how easy this adventure is going to be.

Step 1. Download the Visual Studio Code editor fromĀ

Step 2. Install and launch the editor.

Step 3. Install whatever extensions “look” like they’d help for when you begin coding. Which is why you see the neon blue “Reload” in the screenshot below.

Step 4. Reload the window and you’re ready to being.

Step 5. At this point, I am taking a step back to read up on where I need to go next. The “Getting Started” page that auto-launches after the VS Code install seems like a good place to get started.

You can find that starting point here: “Getting Started“. My focus will be to push and retrieve code from my GitHub repository.
